What AI buyers want

Examples of data AI companies buy

It's probably not what you think. Buyers don't want your customer list. They want the everyday records that show how your work gets done, built up over years.

  • Transaction data

    Invoices, orders, payments, ledgers

  • Pricing histories

Quotes, price lists, discounts over time

  • Supply-chain records

    Suppliers, purchasing, inventory, routing

  • Maintenance records

    Work orders, fault logs, inspections

  • Insurance & claims data

    Claims files, adjuster notes, outcomes

  • Property data

    Valuations, leases, surveys, building records

  • Lab & process data

    Experiments, batch records, yield, QC

  • Industry-specific operations

Whatever your team records doing its job

You keep running your business. We handle valuation, anonymisation, buyer outreach and the transaction.

Strong fit

This is the kind of data AI buyers are actively looking for.

  • AI labs are building accounting agents and need years of real ledgers and close work.
  • 5–10 years of history: depth over time is one of the biggest drivers of value.

We don't guess prices. You'll get a real valuation on a free call, once we've seen what you hold.

Is it safe to sell?

Privacy handled

Personal data about your customers and staff is removed or anonymised before anything is shown to a buyer. Built for UK and EU GDPR.

You stay in control

You approve every buyer and every licence. Nothing leaves your systems without your sign-off, and you keep ownership.

Aligned incentives

No retainers and no upfront fees. We earn a commission on completed sales, so we push for the highest price.

Why now

The public internet is used up. Your data isn't.

Two hands making chess moves, representing AI labs competing for scarce data

Every frontier model has already trained on the open web. To keep improving, and to automate real work, AI labs need what was never published: the records businesses build up just by running.

Courts have also made scraping risky, so labs now license data instead. Publishers and platforms have signed deals worth tens to hundreds of millions of dollars. The same demand is now reaching specialist businesses, and the companies that move early get the best prices.

What sells

The data buyers want most

Specialist, real-world and covering many years. If your team has spent a decade doing expert work and recording it in software, there's probably a buyer for it.

Accounting & finance

General ledgers, reconciliations, month-end close packs, audit workpapers, tax files.

Labs are training models to do real bookkeeping and audit work, and need years of real-world examples.

Labs & life sciences

LIMS records, electronic lab notebooks, assay results, QC and stability data, SOPs.

Experimental data, including failed runs, is scarce and almost never public.

Chemicals & materials

Formulations, batch records, process parameters, spectra, safety and regulatory files.

Models for materials discovery need real process data to learn from, not textbook examples.

Semiconductors & electronics

Yield and defect data, fab process logs, test results, design and verification records.

Some of the most valuable industrial data there is, and some of the hardest to get.

Logistics & packaging

Orders, routing, warehouse operations, quotes and invoices, supplier records.

Agents that run operations need to learn from how real businesses actually work.

Legal, insurance & more

Matters and contracts, claims files, adjuster notes, support tickets, CRM history.

If it's specialist work captured over years, someone is probably looking for it.

How it works

From exported records to a signed licence

  1. 01

    Check your data qualifies

Answer four questions to see how buyers are likely to view your data. It takes under a minute and you don't share any data.

  2. 02

    Qualification call, under NDA

We find out what you hold, how it's structured and what you're allowed to sell. Everything is covered by an NDA from the start.

  3. 03

    Secure export & anonymisation

We guide you through exporting from Xero, Salesforce, your LIMS or wherever your data lives. Personal and confidential information is removed before any buyer sees it.

  4. 04

    Sold to the highest bidder

We present your anonymised dataset to the AI labs and data buyers we work with, negotiate the licence and get you the best price.

  5. 05

    You get paid

You license the data and keep ownership. Payment goes through the agreed licence, and we only earn a commission when you do.

Questions

Why do AI companies want my company's data?

AI labs have already trained on most of the public internet. What they lack is real-world data from businesses: how accountants close the books, how labs run experiments, how fabs improve yield. Data like that is rare, and labs pay accordingly.

How much is my data worth?

It depends on the sector, how much history you have, how specialised and well organised the data is, and whether it's exclusive. We don't guess from a form: after a short call under NDA, we give you a real valuation based on what you hold and what buyers are paying right now.

Is it legal to sell company data?

Usually, yes, if it's done properly. Data you own can be licensed, but personal data about customers and employees has to be removed or anonymised, and some client contracts restrict sharing. We check what you're allowed to sell before anything leaves your systems.

What about our customers' and employees' privacy?

Buyers want patterns, not people. Names, contact details, account numbers and other identifiers are removed before any buyer sees the data, and we follow UK and EU GDPR.

Do I give up ownership of my data?

No. You grant a licence to use it for AI training. You keep the data and keep running your business as usual.

What does it cost?

Nothing up front. We take a commission when a sale completes, so we only get paid when you do.
